Reflections @ Keppel Bay: Monochromatic Oasis where Interior meets Architecture

Monochrome and architecture – these two words sum up Reflections at Keppel Bay. The whole inspiration of the interior design of this minimalist home is the “inviting” space. With the fast-paced and chaotic world, this home has simplified surroundings that bring peace and comfort.

The serene and simple bedroom shows uncluttered monochrome interiors with a sprinkling of wooden luxury eco flooring to give warmth to the mood. Even with layers of grey hues, the room has a coloured bed fabric that gives it a distinct personality. The room also welcomes natural lighting and a glimpse of nature through its mirror walls.

Custom-cut mirrors give a beautiful reflection of space, making it appear like it is twice its actual width. They were also paired white, elegant cabinets which provide additional storage in the room.

In the bathroom, the glass wall and huge mirror slide into an open position that perfectly formed the entire space. The perfectly-chosen marble tiles and well-arranged sanitary ware gives a different type of elegance in the bathroom. With the glass door leading to the shower room and simple colour scheme, the whole area looks simple yet comforting.

The all-white kitchen space is an architectural masterpiece. The white wall and island provide a sophisticated background, especially when exposed to light. The simplicity of cabinets also provides a built-in flush aesthetics in the centre of the kitchen.

Enlivening the expanse of white flooring and wall in the living room is the accent wall which also stands as the background of the television. The light grey ceiling also breaks the plainness of the room, which wraps modern feel around the area.

Also, giving subtle visual warmth on the ambience of the room is the wooden legs of the centre table and the patterned rug. As the overall theme of this interior design in Singapore, the glass wall brings life to this space as it allows the light of sunrise and sunset reflect over the interior.

Monochromatic theme continues in a “shoe corner” of the room wherein, white, grey, and black hues are all present. The LED lights and a piece of artwork also highlight the area.

This home exudes comfort as it focuses on simple but elegant forms of materials while also radiating reflections using mirrors and natural light.
