Interior design in Singapore is continuously evolving. In this project, the homeowner wants the style of their home to have a different kind of glam – a type of glamour that does not involve glitter and luxurious chandeliers, only rich materials and neutral colour palettes.

What gives a good impression on the living room of this 783B Woodlands Rise project is the rich finishes. Also, giving the space a significant impact and depth is the glossy black and white cabinet doors as well as the textured accent wall. The rich colour and texture does not only create drama but also draws everyone’s eyes toward this featured area.

Glamour means marble, so instead of using luxury eco flooring, glossy tiles gave it a stunning, bold look. Even the subtle lighting gave personality and drama as it reflects toward the entire room.

The black and white theme stays in the kitchen with the lower cabinet doors. But the upper cabinet gave a warm contrast with its brown finish. The white backsplash gave the kitchen a clean finish while being neutral against the black countertop. Also, to prevent an accident, the grey flooring has an anti-slip, textured finish.

Adding a little glamour in the ceiling is a simple yet elegant fan. The rich combination of wall colours gives the space warmth and impact. Even the simple dining set is a perfect hit of glamour, without too much pattern and colours.

A sophisticated bluish-purple headboard wall colour anchors the master bedroom. In keeping with the aversion of having “too much,” simple lighting transforms the bedroom into an understated elegant space. The contrasting palette of black and white, with a little touch of vibrant colours, also stands as added personality to the room.
